The Settlement At Hideout Canyon

I thought I would revisit the Settlement project today with a few view shots I took this morning.  This first shot shows the view over the Jordanelle and towards Timp.

We are unfortunately dealing with the smoky haze from all of the western wildfires, especially those in Northern California and I suspect this will be with us for a while.

The Settlement will consist of 3 buildings and a total of 92 condominium units ranging from 1100 sq ft 2 bedroom residences starting in the mid $400's to 1780 sq ft 3 bedroom penthouse units topping out at just over $1 million.

SUMMER GOLF AT THE OUTLAW GOLF CLUB

This is a great time of year to get out and spend a few hours honing your skills at the Outlaw Golf course in Hideout Canyon.

This 9 hole public course offers a blend of par 4 and par 5 holes with the most scenic backdrop you could find anywhere in the world.  The Outlaw is one of the first challenge courses of it's kind and is designed for the player that may not have 5 hours to play a full round or a great stress free place to teach your child the game or even play a leisurely 9 holes after work.

What are your favorite local activities? 

Ken: The golf in this area is ridiculously good. Park City is an International Mountain Biking Association Gold Spoke community. The community service we provide through the Park City Sailing program….we are recreating at the same time we are giving back. In the winter, we are nine minutes to Deer Valley for skiing and trails for fat tire snow biking. I also do that during the winter with the National Ability Center. I ride during the winter with the same population I sail with during the summer. 

Christiane: We also have great dog parks and trails. 

What are your favorite events in Park City? 

Ken: The Deer Valley concerts. Savor the Summit – either participating or people watching. Sometimes I think the people-watching is even better.  The 4th of July parade, which we participate in and have won twice with Park City Sailing Club. 

Where do you like to dine?

Christiane: Tupelo is one of our top picks. Shoyu for sushi. Ganesh, the new Indian restaurant, is really good. We like 350 Main as well for their small plates. We don’t go out much because in the winter there are a lot of tourists, and in the summer we eat on our deck. We are members of Jeremy Ranch Golf and Country Club, and you finish playing golf and just eat there. 

Ken: Also Mariposa at Dear Valley Resort, which is seasonal. 

Can you describe some of the neighbors you have gotten to know? 

Christiane: When we were living at The Rustler, we had neighbors who moved there from Park City as well as from out of state. They were mostly like us – a little older, retired, some of them still working. A lot of them try to connect with the Park City community by getting involved with local non-profits, of which there are many.

We are coming down the home stretch on Overlook Village 36 and hope to have this pre-sold home done by the beginning of August.  This is a 4 bedroom/5 bath 3,192 sq ft home with fully contained main level living for a couple.  There are laundry rooms on both the main and lower level and views of the Jordanelle, Timp and Deer Valley.

GOLDEN EAGLE LAUNCH EVENT WEDNESDAY JUNE 6

Springtime At Hideout Canyon

We are in the shoulder season here in Park City between the busy winter ski season and the summer tourist season.   What that means is unpredictable weather, warm and sunny one day and snow or rain the next.

This morning was a cool misty morning at Hideout Canyon with a partially obscured view of Mt. Timpanogos.

The shoulder season means easy reservations and special deals for some of the world class Park City restaurants that are so difficult to get into during high season.  It also means preparations are well underway to get the Outlaw Golf Course at Hideout Canyon open for the 2018 summer season.  This is a shot of the course this morning.
